Open Space

J.R. Masterman Laboratory & Demonstration School

The Collaborative engaged Masterman’s students, parents, teachers, and staff in expanding the outdoor alternatives beyond basketball for students to unwind. Planters, rubber surfaces, shade sails, seating, tables, and storage for sports equipment can create colorful, uncluttered places to lounge or garden—on the roof and in the main courtyard. Best of all, many of these elements can be rearranged and redesigned to suit different needs.
