Friends of Weccacoe Playground

A Collaborative design team provided the Friends of Weccacoe Playground and Queen Village Neighbors Association with a conceptual plan for greener, more sustainable open space. The project received the Collaborative's 2012 Community Design Award. The playground was discovered to be on the site of a historic African-American burial ground. Philadelphia Parks and Recreation approved a revised plan in 2016.
