2009 - Alex Chan's interest in design started in seventh grade, when his Construction Technology teacher asked him and his classmates to design their dream homes. "That first recognition of a connection between people and their physical environment led me to design."
Alex graduated Cum Laude from Drexel University's architecture program in 2005 and is now a Project Architect for Agoos/Lovera Architects. He currently spends much of his spare time studying for his Architectural Registration Exams, a series of nine tests that every architect must take to become registered. Still, Alex found time this year to participate in Infill Philadelphia: Food Access, developing a bold design for expanding a new branch of Weavers Way Co-op in West Oak Lane.
In addition to volunteering with the Community Design Collaborative serves as a guest critic at his alma mater and is active with the Delaware Valley Green Building Council.
