  • 09 15 10 one big night two great events e1284577659294
Join us during Design Philadelphia on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12 at the CRANE ARTS BUILDING for the Infill Philadelphia: Industrial Sites Publication Launch from 4 to 6 pm and the Glassphemy Preview Party from 6 to 9 pm.

Pick up an advance copy of the new Infill Philadelphia: Industrial Sites publication and celebrate the innovative designs and participants from the Design Challenge, Retooling Industrial Sites Exhibition, and the Industrial Sites Interim Reuse Charrette. RSVP

Then stick around to preview Glassphemy! Part game, part art installation, Glassphemy is a multi-sensory recycling center inspired by a Community Design Collaborative charrette and developed by Macro-Sea. The 20-by-30 steel structure lined with bullet-proof glass lets you throw bottles at a friend (or enemy) without repercussions! Bottles for tossing are available at the door for a donation of $5 each or $25 for a six-pack.

Design professionals who have volunteered on a Collaborative project between 2005 and 2010 get to throw one bottle for free! Proceeds from the bottles you do buy will benefit the Community Design Collaborative, InLiquid, Kensington South Neighborhood Advisory Council and New Kensington Community Development Corporation.  RSVP

Can’t make it to the Glassphemy preview? Stop by October 14 for a Second Thursday reception or October 17 for Design Philadelphia’s closing event and the unveiling of ReadyMade's "What Would You Make from Broken Glass?" contest.
