The Community Design Collaborative recently recognized our amazing volunteers as part of Glassphemy! If you are a Collaborative volunteer, you got to toss a bottle for free into the maws of this combination recycling center-art installation.
We wanted to take advantage of a quieter moment to recognize several volunteer design firms and professionals for their outstanding contributions on projects initiated in 2009:

In 2009, the Community Design Collaborative provided nearly $600,000 in pro bono preliminary design services to nonprofit organizations throughout greater Philadelphia. We couldn’t have accomplished that without the 58 design firms and 184 design professionals who volunteered their skills. Thanks for your commitment, generosity, and undeniable talent!
You'll have a second chance to lift a bottle (but no throwing this time!) to celebrate of our volunteers on December 3 from 6 to 9 pm at the Center for Architecture, when the Collaborative co-hosts a First Friday book talk and signing featuring John Cary, President and CEO of Next American City and editor of The Power of Pro Bono: Forty Stories About Design for the Public Good. RSVP.
