Design for the Public Good Explained

  • Portion of the infographic featured on PublicInterestDesign.org designed by Megan Jett

PublicInterestDesign.org, in partnership with The University of Minnesota College of Design, ArchDaily, and Tandus Flooring have created an infographic to explain the who, what, where and how of design for the public good over the last fifty years. The infographic is based on the chronology of John Cary with design by ArchDaily's Megan Jett.

In an answer to the question "What is Public Interest Design?" they say:
"Inherently human-centered and participatory, public interest design seeks to improve the quality of life for all people, regardless of their socio-economic background."
We are thrilled to be included in the Historical Highlights timeline. View the full infographic here.
