For its 2013 edition of Park(ing) Day, the Community Design Collaborative teamed up with the Philadelphia Water Department to set up a three-room schoolhouse at 12th and Filbert Streets. Visitors "soaked up" some hands-on knowledge of H2O and the city in our lab, classroom, and all-important lunch room.
The fun continued at our After Party for all Park(ing) Day teams at the PHS Pop-Up Garden. Co-hosted by the Collaborative and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the party brought together teams from many of the fifty parklets highlighted by NBC, CBS, and WHYY, and by us on Storify.
