Grantee: Urban Creators
Urban Creators uses food, art, and education as tools to nurture resilience and self-determination in our neighborhood. The organization incubates and invests in local businesses, artists, growers, and organizers whose work will have a meaningful and lasting impact on the overall health, safety, and equity of our communities.
Urban Creators will receive a conceptual design for a long-term sustainable master plan of an urban farm.
Grantee: Resources for Human Development
Resources for Human Development (RHD) is a national human services nonprofit with the broadest specializing in creating innovative, quality services that support people of all abilities wherever the need exists. RHD supports human service programs across the country, serving tens of thousands of people every year with caring and effective programs addressing intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, homelessness, addiction recovery and more.
RHD was awarded a grant for a feasibility study for redevelopment to create transitional housing units.
Grantee: AEC Cares / Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission
Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission (SBRM) serves those experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. The Mission provides three meals a day, 365 days of the year to anyone in need and offers an array of homeless day services and clinics to men and women.
SBRM is a long time nonprofit partner of the Collaborative.
AEC will receive a grant to provide conceptual design and project management for a Blitz Build day of service in conjunction with the AIA National Conference.
