Leverage 2018

The room was abuzz as we mingled with old friends, met new ones, and viewed the results of 18 design grants that matched nonprofits with the Collaborative's talented volunteers in 2017. An Eagles chant, initiated by our honoree, Stephen Klasko, MD, MBA, President and CEO of Jefferson University and Thomas Jefferson Health, settled the high energy crowd for the short program.

The Collaborative presented its 2018 Leverage Award to Dr. Klasko for connecting health and design in groundbreaking ways. His colleagues, Dr. Bon Ku and Dean Barbara Klinkhammer, who lead Jefferson’s interdisciplinary collaborations between the medical and design schools, joined him on stage and lingered all evening to engage directly with Leverage attendees.

The $100,000 in proceeds from Leverage provide vital support for the Collaborative's core Design Grants program as well general operations. Check Our Work to see how we continue delivering game-changing grants of preliminary design services to local nonprofit organizations.
