JOIN US FOR LEVERAGE 2024 IN JUNE!
The Community Design Collaborative hosts Leverage annually to support our mission partnering with communities to envision the environments where they live, work, play, and thrive. Contributions allow our organization to support approximately 20 neighborhoods a year in the Great Philadelphia region in a community-centered visioning process. These projects consider the feasibility of ideas from everyday citizens collective visions while leveraging the expertise and input from our professional volunteers. When combined, this collaborative process lays the foundation for transformative developments that imagine a more equitable city for all.
The Community Design Collaborative is thrilled to announce that Prema Katari Gupta, President and CEO of the Center City District and Executive Director of the Central Philadelphia Development Corporation, has been selected as this year’s recipient of our prestigious LEVERAGE Award. The Award recognizes local leaders committed to strengthening neighborhoods through design and who have led transformative community design and development in the region. The Leverage Committee, led by Co-chairs Haley Schmidt and Howard Lebold, unanimously selected Gupta because of her wide-ranging experience as a strategic leader in economic development, public-private real estate development, and place-making.
