After implementing several aspects of a previous master plan by the Collaborative, the Neighborhood Center returned for advice on how to expand its growing arts programming and provide amenities for nearby residents. The Collaborative’s volunteers worked with the center to create a multi-phased plan to develop new daycare and multipurpose facilities, a cohesive campus, and a new sports pavilion and urban farm.

The design process is often more important than the final product.
"The best way to design is to talk, to have honest discussions with users that strive to understand what those users need."
"We need design in all communities to help them thrive."
"Just because somebody lives in an underrepresented community doesn't mean they don't care - if anything they care more."
