Bache-Martin Home & School Association

A community task force collaborated on a master plan to connect the two buildings that make up the campus and add green elements like flow-through planters and rain gardens to collect stormwater runoff and enliven the surrounding streets and sidewalks. A key element in transforming the campus will be a “shared street” with curb bumpouts, plantings, and a colorful crosswalk pattern.

"All the design team members have great experiences and ideas, but it's the community that has the intimate experiences and ideas that are needed to develop the project concepts and designs."
