Open Space

James G. Blaine Elementary School

As Philadelphia School Partnership works to transform a public school, its stakeholders want to include improvements to its outdoor space. The Collaborative helped the school and community re-imagine Blaine’s austere schoolyard. A path linking four native habitats and a rain garden add new learning opportunities and expand play experiences for younger children and those with special needs.
