FINANTA is planning a mixed-use development for the North Front Street Commercial Corridor. The Collaborative’s conceptual design offers strategies for designing in the shadow of the Market-Frankford elevated tracks and creating a clean, modern, light-filled building. The goal is to bring activity to the block beyond the workday with a credit union, start-up space for new small businesses, and a café or coffee house—with light-filled, airy apartments above.
Large windows and metal panels bring a new look and match the lines and scale of nearby storefronts.
FINANTA has purchased vacant properties on the 2100 block of North Front Street for mixed-use development.
A café and credit union are proposed for the ground floor.
The second and third floors feature space for start-up and growing businesses.
Retail and office space on the first three floors lift the apartments above the elevated Market-Frankford Line.

"Good design should give communities a chance to come together and discuss their goals before the change happens."
