Thomas K. Finletter Academics Plus School
Finletter School’s big, barren schoolyard is cut off from adjacent athletic fields and green space by fencing. The Collaborative’s conceptual design redraws the lines of the schoolyard to create spaces for grade K-2 play, grade 3-8 play, and nature education—all linked by a shared pathway and central green space. Opportunities for art, active recreation, teaching, dining, imaginative play, gardening, and stormwater management are woven into the master plan.
