Mount Airy Learning Tree, a nonprofit that provides learning and recreational opportunities for over 5,000 adults in Northwest Philadelphia, operates from a former apothecary. The Collaborative outlined a plan and budget for renovations to the heating system, doors, windows, and walls to cut energy costs, create an accessible main entrance, and add a kitchen and bathroom to the space.
"By engaging communities in the design process, the improvements most important to them can be identified. This enables the development of the best, most equitable and inclusive design solutions that will positively impact the health, safety, and welfare of everyday citizens in their neighborhoods."
