William Way LGBT Community Center

The Center asked the Collaborative to analyze options for renovation and expansion. The Collaborative's design replaces two inefficient rear wings of the Center’s existing Colonial Revival building with a new, five-story addition while preserving the front of the structure. New event and coworker spaces will better serve Philadelphia’s diverse LGBT community and generate revenue for the Center. A glass exterior will open up views to a historic alley and sleek LGBT-friendly senior housing nearby.

It's rewarding to help make a difference by working on community-based projects in their too-early-for-funding stages.
