Why is design an important part of revitalizing communities?
Design is a process that we use to evaluate, explore, and propose solutions to problems. With a thoughtful, inclusive, and comprehensive design process, we can get to the core of the issues that a community may be facing.

What has been most surprising, rewarding, or fun about your Collaborative experience?
In the current social climate, I have found it challenging to make a tangible impact and show support for disadvantaged communities in Philadelphia. By helping these incredible organizations continue to provide critical services during covid19, I feel connected to their cause. I'm proud of the organizations I've worked with and feel more connected to the communities they serve.

What do you love most about Philadelphia?
Walkability, and the unique character of different neighborhoods.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?
While I've taken a little break to work on renovating a century-old townhouse in Francisville, I have an instagram account @sketchPHL where I post sketches of my favorite storefronts, buildings, and views of Philadelphia.
