"It was rewarding to see clients willing to take further action to bring the project to life."
Engaging the community is important because, ultimately, they are the people who are going to be making use of the spaces that we create. Each project should address the specific issues of their local environment and communities… This can only be made known to us firsthand by community members and organizations that are working toward common goals
With Metropolitan Baptist Church, it was rewarding to hear the responses of community members and partnering organizations—their conversations, thoughts and ideas about how to open Metropolitan Baptist’s spaces up to the larger community. It was also rewarding to see clients willing to take further action in reaching out to organizations to bring the project to life.
