Why is design an important part of revitalizing communities?
One of the things that I love most about design is its ability to connect people. Communities evolve over time, and design can be used to respond to these shifts, enhancing neighborhood connections through architecture, art and urban planning.
What has been most surprising, rewarding, or fun about your Collaborative experience?
To me the most rewarding part of our work has been getting to know the business owners and in turn learning how the improvements we developed will enhance the business’s connection to the neighborhood.
Q. What do you love most about Philadelphia?
R. I love that inspiration can be found in the city’s rich history, architecture, food and art- there’s never a dull moment in our city and we are never without a great cup of coffee!
