Why is design an important part of revitalizing communities?
Design can and should be used as an engine for social justice and change. Designing communities *for* the people who live there *with* the dreams, ideas and input of those people is incredibly powerful and builds vital communities that stand the test of time.
What has been most surprising, rewarding, or fun about your Collaborative experience?
One of the most rewarding things about my Collaborative experience has been getting to know community members and professionals in neighborhoods of my city I haven't had the chance to explore yet. Philadelphia has so many amazing spaces that its hard to find all of them without a little help.
What do you love most about Philadelphia?
I love the people of Philadelphia. We're a quirky bunch, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Also, the coffee shops.
